My recent work explores patterns, textures and colours through still life compositions of everyday objects, such as vases, bowls and cups. These are produced as one-off silkscreen prints, known as variable mono screen prints, and sometimes combined with mixed media. They are printed on either board or paper.
The Heritage series explores the concept of something old making an impression on something new. In these screenprints, a precious object leaves an imprint on the newspaper from which it has been unwrapped. The images are entwined with layers of pattern and texture.
My screenprint ‘Heritage’ was shortlisted for the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts.
